Description

A refreshing and festive sparkling cranberry gin cocktail that combines tart cranberry juice, zesty lime, and bubbly Prosecco for a perfect holiday or year-round treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Cocktail Mix

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 2 ounces cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • ¾ ounce fresh lime juice

Garnish and Topping

  • 1 ½ ounces Prosecco
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish, optional)
  • Lime twist (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice to chill your ingredients effectively and ensure a cold drink.
  2. Mix ingredients: Add 2 ounces of gin, 2 ounces of cranberry juice cocktail, ¾ ounce fresh lime juice, and 1 ounce simple syrup into the shaker. Cover it tightly.
  3. Shake the cocktail: Shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds to blend the flavors thoroughly and chill the mixture.
  4. Pour into glasses: Evenly strain and pour the cocktail into two low ball glasses filled with fresh ice.
  5. Add Prosecco: Top each glass with ¾ ounce of Prosecco, gently stirring to combine the sparkling wine with the cocktail mix without losing the bubbles.
  6. Garnish and serve: Optionally garnish with fresh cranberries and a lime twist for visual appeal and an extra hint of aroma. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor balance rather than bottled lime juice.
  • Simple syrup can easily be made at home by dissolving equal parts sugar in hot water and cooling before use.
  • Adjust the amount of simple syrup based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Prosecco can be substituted with other sparkling wines if desired.
  • This cocktail is best served immediately to preserve the bubbles from the Prosecco.
